What You Will Do:
 

Guidehouse is seeking candidates to provide management consulting support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Roles are available at the Consultant, Senior Consultant, and Managing Consultant levels. Our Managing Consultants are accountable for the activities of the client engagement team and will coach and mentor junior and experienced consultants. Senior Consultants are second level non-management consultants that will have responsibility for client management, solution implementation and generation of project results. Consultants support project workstreams and interact with the client daily to enable engagement success.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) clients and Guidehouse colleagues to solve problems and improve outcomes.
  • Support FAA programs and processes to meet agency mission objectives and organization-specific business plan goals.
  • Engage project stakeholders to identify and implement organizational, program, and business process improvements using change management practices.
  • Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for client consideration.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 1-3 years experience with the FAA or a related organization
  • Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems
  • Strong analytical, writing and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities
  • Proficiency with Excel, databases, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to meet and pass requirements for a Public Trust
  • Due to contract requirements US Citizenship restrictions apply


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Previous experience working in or supporting FAA program manager, business manager, strategic planner, program analyst, budget officer, financial analyst, and change management functions
  • Familiarity with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) processes
  • Experience working with or knowledge of the FAA’s lines of business: Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Aviation Safety (AVS), Airports (ARP), Security & Hazardous Materials Safety (ASH), and Commercial Space Transportation (AST)
  • Experience working with or knowledge of the FAA’s staff offices: NextGen (ANG), Finance and Management (AFN), Policy, International Affairs & Environment (APL), Communications (AOC), Human Resource Management (AHR), Chief Counsel (AGC), Civil Rights (ACR), Government & Industry Affairs (AGI), and Audit & Evaluation (AAE)

The annual salary range for this position is $71,800.00-$107,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
