Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Assist veterinarians in examinations, procedures, and surgeries. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.

  • Client Interaction: Communicate with pet owners about treatment plans, care instructions, and follow-up appointments.

  • Administrative Tasks: Manage appointment scheduling, maintain accurate medical records, and process client billing.

  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure a clean and organized work environment, including exam rooms, surgical areas, and the waiting room.

  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory tracking and ordering supplies as needed.

  • Team Support: Collaborate with veterinarians and other staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient practice operations.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; veterinary assistant certification is a plus.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required.

  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team and independently. Compassionate and attentive to the needs of animals and clients. Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks as needed.
