Moog Aircraft Group is seeking a Facilities Technician who will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Wolverhampton site through the effective maintenance and support of all building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. 

The position provides essential facilities services that allow for uninterrupted business operations, including the timely execution of maintenance activities, repairs, and technical support across the facility and grounds.  

Working under the direction of the Facilities & Compliance Lead, the Facilities Technician also contributes to the organisation’s compliance obligations by supporting the implementation and maintenance of all relevant statutory, regulatory, and internal standards, thereby ensuring a safe, compliant, and high performing working environment for all personnel. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the safe and reliable operation of site facilities and building systems by carrying out planned preventative maintenance and completing reactive maintenance tasks in a timely and effective manner. 
  •   Support uninterrupted business operations by ensuring that all facilities related issues are addressed promptly, professionally, and in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. 
  •   Contribute to statutory, regulatory, and internal compliance by assisting with inspections, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. 
  •   Provide effective day-to-day facilities support to employees and departments, ensuring that workspaces, production areas, and shared facilities remain safe, functional, and fit for purpose. 
  •  Coordinate and monitor external contractors to ensure that maintenance, repair, and project activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Moog’s requirements. 
  • Support facilities related projects and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing technical input and assisting with the delivery of security upgrades, refurbishments, and infrastructure improvements. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation and asset information, ensuring that maintenance records, compliance data, and work order details are complete, up to date, and accessible. 
  • Promote and uphold Moog’s safety culture by adhering to safesystemofwork practices, identifying hazards, and supporting health, safety, and environmental initiatives across the site 
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained by logging applicable work activities on the site CMMS (ShireSystem Pirana). 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a relevant Level 3 qualification (E.g., BTEC Level 3, PEO Level 3, NVQ Level 3) in Electrical/Mechanical or other Maintenance orientated discipline.  
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of Facilities Maintenance in an engineering environment. 
  • Qualifications in one or more of the following: F-GAS, BS7671, Gas Safe, IOSH/NEBOSH 
  • CDM Compliance 
  • The successful candidate will be a team player demonstrating appropriate virtuesin line with Moog’s Values, to allow effective participation in multi-disciplinary teams as required.   
  • The ability to function in a demanding production and engineering environment dealing with facilities and applicable machinery. 
  • The incumbent is expected to work inconvenient hours, on occasion, as part of breakdown support within the Facilities & Maintenance department. 
  • This role will follow the standard day shift pattern (Mon-Thurs 7:30am – 4:15pm, Fri 7:30am – 11:30am) – Shift support may be required in the future should business needs require as standard.
