Are you passionate about driving project success and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within a dynamic environment? Webber, an industry leader in construction and infrastructure, is seeking a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our team. 

 

Your Role: Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation 

This is a hands-on role which will be responsible for monitoring, supporting, and completing accounting tasks for the Webber Finance/FCNA Transaction Accounting department. The Staff Accountant will work closely with all levels and departments of Webber and Ferrovial US companies. 

 

What You Will Do: 

  • Creation and posting of intercompany invoices between US companies with a heavy emphasis on Cintra concession invoicing and JFK Terminal One invoicing. 

  • Creation and posting of 3rd party A/R invoices. 

  • Monthly sales tax filings & payments for multiple companies across multiple states. 

  • Monthly Canada GST/HST filings for Webber Canadian companies. 

  • Manage all property tax filings and payments. 

  • Provide monthly A/P Aging reports & analysis. 

  • Manage the monthly Webber lease vehicle allocations. 

  • Record various allocations to and from corporate companies, including IT billings, rent allocations, and other miscellaneous I/C expenses. 

  • Analyze and record monthly Purchasing & Virtual Card bank rebates. 

  • Maintain Webber Store monthly entries. 

  • Assist with all audits including State Tax compliance and annual Ferrovial year-end audit. 

  • Assist with maintaining SOX compliance with the Transaction Accounting department. 

  • Other duties as may be required. 

 

Who You Are: A Profile of Success 

  • BA in Finance, Accounting, or similar discipline preferred, or experience can be substituted for BA. 

  • 1-2 years’ prior experience working in a Shared Services Center environment preferred. 

  • Experience with SAP preferred. 

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other proprietary software. 

  • Good knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, Intercompany Accounting and controls, as well as demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Must be detail oriented and able to manage high volumes of data. 

  • Effectively communicate with all levels of personnel within Webber & Ferrovial companies.
