Business Automation Analyst

Basic Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in business process analysis, automation, or a related field
  • Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, document, and improve business processes and workflows
  • Strong verbal and written communicator who can work effectively in cross-functional teams

Technical Know-How Required:

  • Hands-on experience with RPA platforms (Automation Anywhere preferred; UiPath, Blue Prism, etc. also considered)
  • Ability to design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions
  • Experience with process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, others)
  • Familiarity with business process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Understanding of basic scripting or logic-based automation (e.g., Python, VBScript, or similar)

Technical “Nice-to-Haves”:

  • Automation Anywhere certification (e.g., Advanced RPA Professional)
  • Experience integrating RPA with ERP, CRM, or workflow management systems
  • Familiarity with SQL or database querying for automation purposes
  • Experience with process mining or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Exposure to cloud-based automation solutions
  • Project management experience or certification

Overview of Role:

In this role, the Business Automation Analyst will partner with business and IT stakeholders to identify, design, and implement automation opportunities that enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. The primary focus will be on leveraging RPA technologies (especially Automation Anywhere) to optimize and automate business processes across various functions. The Analyst will be responsible for the end-to-end automation lifecycle, from opportunity assessment through solution deployment and ongoing support.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with Business Process SMEs to analyze current business processes to identify opportunities for automation and improvement
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA solutions using Automation Anywhere and related tools
  • Document both current and future state processes, including process maps and requirements
  • Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and define automation scope
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize deployed bots for performance and reliability
  • Provide training and support to end-users and business stakeholders on automated solutions
  • Track and report on automation project status, benefits realization, and ROI
  • Stay current with RPA technology trends and best practices
