Job Description: As part of Sovos CloudOps/engineering organization, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance and scalability of Sovos Saas offering. You will have many opportunities to bring tremendous impact to our products and customer experience while constantly learning new technology • Build and enhance Monitoring/observability framework that tracks, trends, and alerts on the KPIs and critical transactions of application, infrastructure and multiple Cloud services. • Research for selecting Application Performance Management tool best-fit implementation strategy for Saas Product, services and Cloud infrastructure • Troubleshoot, Debug problems on globally distributed Saas applications, multi-cloud (public and/or private), cloud-scale environments perform Disaster recovery, root cause analysis. • Develop innovative ways to smartly measure, monitor & report application and infrastructure/performance health • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity • Automate common, repeatable tasks at large scale to streamline operational procedures • Build and enhance infrastructure and framework and provide actionable metrics to help understand performance issues and address them proactively • Operate internal testing infrastructure and raise potential bugs to development teams • Collaborate with developers, architects, Product Management, Operations and other cross functional teams to successfully achieve teams’ objectives Roles and Responsibilities: • Passion for identifying and solving Monitoring, performance and scalability challenges • Industry experience with SaaS architecture, preferably in the areas of Monitoring, scalability, capacity and performance optimization • Background in high-performance computing, service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs) to represent and measure service quality and distributed systems • Large scale, distributed software design & development experience in a Unix/Linux environment • Well versed in Performance metrics & algorithms as well as strong analytical and debugging skills • BS in Computer Science with 7 years OR more of experience e.g., SRE, Test, Performance, or Software Engineer)
