he Financial Accounting Manager responsible for overseeing the accounting processes and systems for 3 subsidiary Company(s) of LocumTenens.com. This position ensures the accurate recording and reporting of the organization's financial position and operational results. Monitors related policies and procedures and recommends improvements. Oversees all accounting activities related to these businesses including accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, and all reporting. Responsible for establishing, monitoring, maintaining, and reporting financial budgets for the Company(s). Conducts analyses and derives solutions to accounting problems through the application of information systems. Develops and implements cost analyses to support management in the pricing of products and services. Identifies the cost and earning contributions of all services, functions, and departments. This role will partner closely with the 3 start-ups to scale their accounting processes as they grow including making recommendations on new processes and technology.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Accounting Management – 70%

  • Oversees preparation of daily, monthly, annual, and other periodic financial statements, records, and reports

  • Reconciles daily bank activity, applies cash, processes wires and outgoing payments via EFT or check and/or provides indirect oversight to those responsible for these activities.

  • Calculates and sends invoices, collects on the invoices, resolves customer disputes.

  • Oversees accounts payable related activities

  • Monthly account reconciliations to ensure the subledger and account activity balance, Monthly accruals, ad hoc reporting, Profit and Loss analysis, Intercompany transactions, Commission calculation. Coordinates functions with other departments to convey and obtain required information.

  • Assists and supports Company(s) associates; responds to accounting questions and information needs

  • Assists and advises department managers in handling issues surrounding accounting, budgeting, analyses, and reporting

  • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

Budget Management and Analysis - 10%

  • Oversees development, analysis, and preparation of periodic financial budget statements.

  • Continually monitors and updates budgets as necessary

  • Performs and oversees special studies for management, including trend analyses and other comparative examinations; analyzes trends in the financial data and detects problems

  • Maintains automated accounting applications for tracking Company(s) income and expenses for budget, pricing, and costing purposes.

  • Performs analyses in support of Company(s) pricing decisions

Team Management - 20%

  • Reviews and monitors the delegation for workload within the teams to ensure maximum efficiency Maintains the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team

  • Directs team processes and procedures; ensures work is completed in accordance with Company standards

  • Conducts 90-day and annual performance evaluations; coaches associate to maximum performance

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE)

  • May work on special projects or other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY

  • May communicate with external customers, clients, or providers

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field

  • Master’s degree, CPA, and/or CMA designation desired5-7+ years of financial accounting and budgeting experience required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of advanced financial accounting practices and procedures.

  • Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions and ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables

  • Ability to use advanced algebra, exponents, logarithms, linear equations, quadratic equations, mathematical induction and binomial theorem, permutations, calculus, and/or analytic geometry
