ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Product Manager ensuring the success of our Payments Product, you will be on the front lines of industry-leading payments systems with future leaning capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Payments Product Design: You will work with our customers to understand their requirements around banks integrations, data, and APIs. You shape our product to support customers’ needs as they leverage our payments product to support all of their money movement needs. You will design clean, developer friendly APIs alongside engineering to enable our customers to embed payments into their platforms.

  • Payments Innovation: You will be at the forefront of payments capabilities, staying on top of industry trends and ways in which new payment rails such as FedNow or Global Payments can be leveraged by our customers. You will ensure the implementation of these new capabilities is seamless for our customers and we handle edge cases such as returns and payment failures with ease.

  • Metrics and feature improvements: You’ll design metrics to ensure we are building the right features and capabilities for our payments customers. You will leverage qualitative and quantitative data to identify feature gaps and resolve customer challenges quickly and thoughtfully.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Payments expertise: You know the ins and outs of banking systems and integrations. You understand at a deep level how banks operate and the data models they leverage, e.g BAI2 and ISO. You get excited by innovation, from nerding out over FedNow to understanding whats happening around the world.

  • Technical fluency: You relish going deep with engineers on the details of payment systems to understanding how the payment system itself can service customer applications. You are familiar with using application data to improve the platform’s capabilities for recognizing transaction and payment patterns.

  • Partnership collaboration: You thrive in a dynamic and cross functional environment where you not only work with internal stakeholders across multiple teams but external counterparties such as banks.

  • Empathy for technical and non-technical users: You can empathize with and match the technical requirements of our most mission-critical customers while also understanding the needs of treasury and payment operations teams. You can work with sales and customer success to develop pointed strategies for capturing and showcasing the value of MT against alternative or in house payment operation teams.

  • Product Management Experience: You have extensive experience as a product manager operating in dynamic, fast-moving environments.
