What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers Europe is a leading insurance company, and we are seeking a talented and experienced Delegated Claims Performance Insights Specialist to join our team in London or Redhill.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Lloyd's delegated claims, data management, manipulation, trend analysis, and MI (Management Information) reporting. Key responsibilities include managing the end-to-end bordereaux (BDX) process, building reports using Excel or Power BI, and overseeing data capture for claims. The role focuses on producing and evaluating management information, providing insights to help underwriting teams manage portfolios, and supporting data-driven decisions.

The candidate will need to create and present MI reports to senior leaders and influence business decisions based on evidence. A key part of the role involves developing a performance management framework, collaborating with third parties, and ensuring data-driven insights guide strategic decisions. Experience in bordereaux, MI, and the UK/Ireland specialty (Lloyd’s) insurance markets is essential. The ideal candidate will be creative, strategic, and skilled in presenting complex data to various stakeholders.

Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

What Will You Do?

  • As the Delegated Claims Performance and Insights Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • You will build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their expectations are appropriately managed.

  • You will be responsible for gathering and in depth analysis of DA claim information.

  • You will identify emerging trends through the gathering and review of DA claim data.

  • You will understand of how what is happening on the front line of DA Claims impacts other areas of the business.

  • Responsible for implementation and maintenance of Travelers Delegated Data Standards.

  • Ensure that Travelers Europe implements appropriate performance metrics to manage all DA underwriting contracts within Travelers Europe across all business units (across all MGAs and Lloyd’s coverholders).

  • Support DA structuring including non-commercial terms of contracts, data requirements and reporting structures.

  • Responsible for providing Claim MI and reporting on DA contracts’ performance to TRVE internal oversight and governance panels including DA Panel (DAP), Exposure Management Panel (EMP) and relevant Management Committees.

  • Support Delegated monitoring and reporting, with responsibility for elements of Lloyd’s reporting.

  • Responsible for driving data-first DA portfolio management including EPI / ELR Management, bordereaux MI and on-going monitoring of 3rd party performance.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Previous experience of claim performance management and analytics preferred.

  • Good working knowledge and ability required in respect of analytical thinking, judgement, decision making, communication and strong teamwork.

  • Demonstrates intermediate ability in the areas of positive interaction with claim, underwriters, internal and external auditors.

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability in respect of Microsoft office systems including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrates advanced relationship management skills.

  • Ability to work with people from different backgrounds, experiences, cultures, races, etc. and views those differences as assets to be leveraged to accomplish business goals and objectives.

  • Good knowledge of organisational and relevant regulatory requirements, policies, procedures.

  • Experience of helping to manage Delegated Authority Claim support services.

  • Experience of leading data management, performance MI and operational effectiveness for Delegated Authority Underwriting teams.

  • Experience of Lloyd’s of London Delegated Authority Underwriting Regulatory Compliance and Minimum Standards.

  • ACII qualification preferred.

  • Data Management based training qualification preferred.

What is a Must Have?

  • Proven experience in Data Management especially Bordereau Management.

  • Previous experience in Lloyds and / or the London Market.
