You will be joining a Volaris portfolio that includes businesses in the fleet and asset management, healthcare, and security verticals today.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Business Development Analyst for our Mergers & Acquisitions team. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic energetic self-starter, driven to perform, results-oriented and enjoys being on the phone. The position requires excellent social skills, a high level of organization, and being detail oriented. You should be a collaborative individual who can work easily with a team.

As an important member of our M&A team, you will drive our acquisition activities by sourcing and executing acquisitions of vertical-market-software companies by:

  • Creatively identifying vertical market software businesses meeting our strategic criteria and specific metrics
  • Driving engagement of shareholders and financial advisors in meaningful dialogue on corporate growth and shareholder liquidity
  • Maintaining and building a proprietary database of industry contacts
  • Developing and conducting prospecting campaigns through email, outbound calling and in-person meetings
  • Gathering, analyzing, and presenting acquisition target information to senior M&A team members
  • Assist the later stages of the M&A process as appropriate: performing market research, creating company presentations, drafting letters of intent, conducting due diligence

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ideally 2-4 years of professional experience
  • Excellent academic performance in an undergraduate Business/Finance/Economics degree (i.e. BBA, BCom, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, planning, organization, and time management skills
  • Financial statement literacy
  • Prior sales experience or business development experience in a software business is preferred
  • Preference given to those with relevant M&A work/internship experience (i.e. strategy/corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, etc.)
