JOB DESCRIPTION:

JOB PURPOSE:  

The Workshop Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all technical workshop activities based at the South Africa office. This role ensures operational excellence through effective workflow management, compliance with quality standards, and adherence to SOPs, policies, and safety requirements. The position oversees logistics for instrument swaps, inventory control, audit readiness, perform trouble shooting and advanced repairs, and provide repair and service activities to enhance customer satisfaction and regional service efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Workshop Operations & Compliance

• Maintain workshop workflow and repair processes in line with quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to safety rules, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and maintain tools calibration and temperature mapping compliance.

2. Inventory & Logistics Management

• Manage spare parts stock and ensure ≥95% availability.
• Arrange shipment of repaired instruments and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct quarterly stock audits and ensure audit readiness.

3. Technical Support & Repairs

• Perform repair and troubleshooting of Abbott rapid diagnostic instruments for neighboring countries.
• Travel locally and internationally for business, sites visit and do the necessary required technical services support.
• Support utilization tracking and provide technical assistance during site visits.

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Establish performance monitoring systems to ensure service efficiency.
• Prepare and submit KPI reports to management on workshop operations and training activities.
• Submit technical services reports, attend technical services meetings and provide ends users and technical services technical courses to our customers.

6. Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with technical service managers, country managers, and distributors to resolve technical or operational issues.
• Conduct audits of distributors and track compliance with KPIs.
