Valeo is a leading supplier of components and systems for the world's automakers. In our R&D (Research & Development) Center in Prague we develop Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for intelligent cars.

We are looking for a System Engineer / System Engineer Functional Owner in the Radar team in our R&D Center in Prague. System Engineer is accountable for the deliverables of his/her scope to ensure the success of the project. His/her scope could include: all or part of the design, integration, validation of blocks / product. System Engineer (Functional Owner) is a specialist with overall knowledge of the whole system - HW, SW, mechanics, sensors etc. System Engineer (FO) is part of the development process from very beginning (concept definition) to end of project (validation, serial production). At any development phase. System Engineer (FO) works in various roles - advisor, analyst, investigator, developer, problem solver etc. Additionally, System Engineer (FO) has to be able to present his/her work products professionally to the customer.

YOUR CHALLENGES?

Accountable for :

• Perform activities in compliance with Engineering discipline Development Plan of his/her PG/PL 

• Review Internal requirements, Customer Requirements, Specifications

• Negotiate technical details with customers

• Work on the design of the system and support the technical architecture

• Follow Standardization rules

• Define the function KPIs

• Coordinate the development of the function with all involved stakeholders

• Participate on design reviews and prepare the technical documentation

• In charge of the robust design / validation in line with the economical targets

• Support technical architecture and standards assignments

• Follow Standardization rules

• Support design reviews, internal and with suppliers

• Elaborate on the validation specification

• Perform or support engineering disciplines tests, design simulations or coding

• Comply with engineering disciplines processes and design rules

• Analyze the validation results and propose corrective actions

• Record data traces and identify mis-behavior root cause(s)

His/her scope could include: all or part of the design, integration, validation of blocks / product 

Complying with Engineering disciplines processes and Design Rules: 

• Perform or support Engineering discipline design simulations/coding/validation 

• Perform or support Engineering discipline design calculations including worst case/statistical and support thermal studies

• Perform or support Engineering disciplines tests  

Management follow-up

• Reports the progress of his tasks

• Escalate risks 

• Deliver traceability reports

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU...

• Finished university-level education in the area of Cybernetics, Robotics, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, System Engineering or similar field

• Experience with development of radars, software or electrical product

• Knowledge and interest in automotive radars, smart sensing and/or radar data processing

• ASPICE knowledge (nice to have)

• Good level of English to communicate within international teams

• Proactive, quality oriented engineering attitude and team spirit
