Patient Safety Nurse Specialist - Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital- Full Time-Days

The Patient Safety Nurse (PSN) is a key leader within Morgan Staney Children’s Hospital that assists with unit/department level programs related to quality and patient safety, performance improvement, PI project management, and teamwork/skills validation. The PSN collaborates with frontline teams and nursing leadership to strengthen a culture of safety and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and accreditation requirements. Participates in safety event reviews and RCAs with a focus on pediatric risk mitigation and assists in data abstraction related to departmental performance improvement metrics. Shares data analysis and project progress with all stakeholders in a timely manner

This position is supporting NYP/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital/Children’s Hospitals of New York.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Master’s in nursing or related field if already holds BSN degree.  
  • National Certification related to a specialty
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Current NYS RN Licensure 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in quality and patient safety methodologies and performance improvement project management
  • Strong analytical skills; Experience in data management
  • Clinical experience in related specialty with progressive responsibility and accountability

$133,500-$180,500/Annual
