POSITION OVERVIEW

The Project Manager, Facilities Management, is responsible for managing all aspects of facilities services and minor construction projects across BDC’s Real Estate network. They provide advice, coordinate, and approve both exterior and interior signage for all locations, adhering to guidelines set by Marketing and Public Affairs. The Project Manager, Facilities Management, ensures that facilities continuously meet customer satisfaction, environmental, ergonomic, health and safety standards and adhere to all government regulations.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Manage all aspects of facilities services across BDC’s Real Estate network, including day to day coordination of operations, concierge & maintenance services, furnishings, ergonomic and move requests, leasing requirements, disaster response, BDC Square events, health & safety and other bank initiatives.

  • Prepare plans, budgets and approval requests for small-scale projects. Coordinate all project related activities including but not limited to procurement and invoicing of goods and services following BDC policies and procedures.

  • Maintain a high level of internal customer satisfaction by performing timely and effective communications with clients and external resources.

  • Negotiate with Landlords for facilities, construction, signage and project-related issues.

  • Receive, organize, delegate and resolve various facilities requests with ServiceNow.

  • Assist BDC Square team in coordination of special events specifically for security and concierge services.

  • Act as an advisor for the Real Estate and Facilities Management team on BDC’s branding as it pertains to building and interior signage for all locations and act as a liaison with Marketing & Public Affairs. Approve all interior and exterior signage ensuring to maximize BDC’s visibility while respecting all levels of governmental and municipal regulations.

  • Ensure that facilities continuously meet environmental, ergonomic, health and safety standards and adhere to government regulations.

  • Prepare reporting for the Manager, Facilities Management, as required.

               
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • College diploma in administration, architectural technology or equivalent

  • 2 years of experience in building / facilities management or related experience

  • Customer-focused

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Autodesk applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD)

  • Excellent priority and time management skills in a changing environment

  • Ability to negotiate and influence decisions

  • Team spirit and being a self-starter

  • Solid problem-solving and monitoring skills

  • Rigor, independence, initiative, and effective stress management

  • Strong ability to work under pressure and meet set deadlines

  • Bilingual (solid presentation, oral and written communication skills in both official languages)
