The opportunity
Join a dynamic global logistics team at Hitachi Energy. You will lead a team of 7–10 transportation specialists. Your team manages end-to-end shipments across North America, Europe, and Asia. You will work closely with factories, vendors, and logistics partners. This role sits at the heart of our supply chain operations.

How you'll make an impact
Lead and mentor a team of 7–10 logistics professionals to meet annual goals.
Monitor key performance indicators: on-time delivery, cost, quality, safety, and sustainability.
Define and standardize procedures to ensure efficient transportation execution.
Manage relationships with logistics service providers and handle escalations as needed.
Coordinate all parties involved: buyers, vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and customers.
Drive adoption of logistics systems and tools to improve team efficiency.
Manage multicultural stakeholders across multiple industries and countries, including Europe, Asia, and North America.
Lead the customs clearance process for shipments in Mexico, the US, and Canada.
Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports and proactively adjust plans when needed.
Propose and lead continuous improvement initiatives with an end-to-end approach.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Your background
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in international transportation or logistics operations.
Proven experience leading and developing teams.
Strong knowledge of customs processes and international trade regulations.
Experience coordinating multicultural stakeholders across different countries and time zones.
Proficiency with logistics management systems and digital tools.
Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
Excellent communication and influencing skills in a cross-functional environment.
French speaking is a plus.
Ability to travel up to 15% within NAM region.
