About the Role: HRIS Configuration Lead / Sr. Analyst

The Team:

The People Technology team works to enable and shape S&P Global’s people experience, business processes and service model. Building off the People Team’s movement to working in an agile mindset, behavior and approach, this team will be responsible for key, prioritized projects to drive value to the business and respond to critical business needs, maintaining the regulatory/legal changes for the People technology and driving simplification for people managers and people in completing people processes while delivering a delightful experience. Similar to other technology groups at S&P Global, they will tackle problems breaking down ambiguous, unstructured problems and working with the People function and our business leaders to come to creative, innovative solutions. Also, the Agile methodology will push teams to speed, engage the capabilities of the whole team and put people first in all they do.

The Impact:

HRIS Configuration Lead will be acting as a functional SME for a designated Workday Module and will be a liaison between the rest of People Technology team, Workstream Product Owners, and key business stakeholders.  The HRIS Configuration Lead will create and execute strategies to meet business and people’s experience needs. The team will analyze challenges, support in triaging defects/issues the business is facing, provide solutions as it relates to the workstream, work with downstream partners to minimize change impact and assist in implementing innovative technology solutions while staying true to a lean and global mindset.

What’s in it for you:

The People Technology HRIS Configuration Lead will contribute to and support the execution and configuration for the HR Technology based on their assigned workstream. They will utilize strong analytical, and technical knowledge of Workday and can bridge the business requirements into technical acceptance criteria for both our key business stakeholders, Product Owners, and QA team will use to test, and implement based on the QA and UAT signoff. They will be responsible for supporting the planning, requirement gathering, providing a voice of the business in developing User Stories, Change Requests, Agile Projects, etc. 

Responsibilities:

  • Guide business and People stakeholders within their designated workstream through Workday Release functionality and review to determine what optional functionality will be turned on with each Workday release

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to help design and drive the functional definition of a solution that meets the enterprise program level objectives and vision

  • Conduct interviews and requirements workshops with a cross-discipline team to elicit understanding of business needs, persona mapping, experience/user journeys, and dependency mapping

  • Write unambiguous, testable requirements with clear acceptance criteria; act as integrated scrum team member to assure requirements are understood fully; work with Workday Product Owners in defining non-functional requirements

  • Manage service requests, issues and defects and escalated cases in relation to Workday and ensure SLAs are adhered to

  • Manage the People Technology aspect of all M&A and Divestiture activity

  • Provide insight/support for the CR pipeline and sprint planning/capacity for the Workday configuration team

  • Support UAT activities by providing insights on test cases and data to test the break/fix or new functionality

  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine appropriate action plans for issues/breaks and determine impacted employee list

  • Effectively support and deliver Agile HR and Scaled Agile methodologies and ceremonies for backlog management, product increment sessions, and story refinement.

  • Support and assist with Workday modules and configuration for the US schedule time zone

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is 75,395 to 132,323. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

Skills and Knowledge:

  • At least 5+ years of relevant HR Systems, Configuration and Processes. HCM/Security Experience required, other modules experience in Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, or Absence highly preferred.

  • At least 5+ years of relevant Agile, Scrum, sAFE (Scaled Agile) Project/Program Experience

  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience in requirements gathering, story writing, and test scenarios

  • At least 2+ years of experience in HRIS implementation and HR Transformation / Optimization projects

  • At least 2+ years in either leading a team (1-3) or project delivery

  • Strong Analytical and reporting capabilities (Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, Azure DevOps)

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong Problem solving and issue resolution of technical issues and items

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments while meeting deadlines and quality standards

  • Ability to effectively demonstrate time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to contribute and actively engage within the organization

  • Ability to willingness to upskill/train on various Workday modules and other S&P Global People Team systems

  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving and proactive thought within finding solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Other modules experience in Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, or Absence highly preferred.
