C.H. Robinson is looking for a driven Global Forwarding Agent - Ocean to join our dynamic international team.

In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining operational excellence by coordinating shipments, ensuring compliance, and adapting to industry challenges. You’ll collaborate with global colleagues and third-party agents to provide top-notch customer service and creative solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to build strong relationships with customers, participate in business reviews, and support key documentation processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage international shipping processes from purchase order issuance to cargo delivery

  • Leverage industry knowledge to create solutions and overcome challenges

  • Coordinate shipment tasks to meet customer SOPs, including booking approvals, pre-alerts, filings, and invoicing

  • Collaborate with international teams and third-party agents to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction

  • Build strong customer relationships by providing timely responses and proactive issue resolution

  • Support both internal and external customers with reporting and documentation needs

  • Participate in customer business reviews to improve service and solutions

  • Adapt processes using critical thinking to resolve internal and external challenges

  • Ensure smooth execution of deliveries while maintaining compliance with regulations

  • Drive operational excellence through continuous process improvement and creative problem-solving

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • +2 years of professional experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding

  • Fluency in English and Hungarian

  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills

  • Proven track record of strong customer service skills, interacting with customers and being client focused

  • Excellent follow up with customers and the network

  • Critical-thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks and customer needs

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
