Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by diligently investigating and resolving issues that arise within various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring system performance, identifying root causes of disruptions, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands collaboration with different teams to maintain system stability and deliver timely solutions that support business continuity and efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
-Network Implementation LAN/WAN, including routers, switches, Cisco ECDN, Cisco WAAS, Load balancers, with MPLS and VPN, 7 Plus Years experience.
-Prepped and researched proposed changes to customer's network before implementation.
-Tested new network setups in a Lab environment before migrating to production network.
-Planned and scheduled with Project Managers date of proposed change before implementation.
-Managed and implemented network migrations (Firewalls, Switches, MPLS, VPN, data center)
-Created and maintained full network implementation documents and technical drawings for each project.
-Researched on new design and implementation to solve current and future issues in enterprise network.
-Consulted with external customers to provide network solutions for different network projects.
-Worked closely with customer's assigned project managers to meet the expected deadlines on projects.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Network Infrastructures.
-Good Knowledge in Cisco Enterprise Network Products – Switches: Cisco Catalyst 6800, 6500, 4500-X, 4500E, 3850, 3750-X, 3650, 2960-X Series Datacenter Switches: Cisco Nexus 7000 & 5000 Series Routers: Cisco 3900, 2900, 1900, 800 Series ISRs (Branch), ASR 1000 (Edge), and Service Provider Routers – ASR 9000, ASR 1000, Cisco 7600, XR 12000 Series, ASR 903 Series.
-Good Knowledge in BIG-IP F5 Products.
-Good Knowledge in Cisco ECDN & Cisco WAAS.
-Good Knowledge in Cisco Wireless Products.
-Good Knowledge in Nortel Switches
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.
- Ability to analyze system logs and performance metrics to troubleshoot network-related problems.
- Familiarity with configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of incident management processes and best practices in application support.
-CCNP certification in Routing & switching is mandate
-ITIL Certifications is mandate
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Network Infrastructures.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
