What you will do:

Operations Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery within our Major Project team. You will lead a team of project managers, framework coordinators & construction managers to deliver project and business objectives within your portfolio. The successful candidate will form a strong working relationship with our client team and supply chain partners, pivotal in driving both EHS and Quality measures within a growing business.

Our Major project delivery typically work within the Healthcare or Rail sector. This is a varied role, covering all the UK leading a geographically spread team.

How you will do it:

  • Lead your team in the delivery of large scale programmes of work
  • Manage and coordinate a team of project managers, engineers, frameworks coordinators and construction managers, engage with supply chain partners
  • Responsible for building long term strategic relationship with client and supply chain partners
  • You will be the escalation contact for projects within your portfolio, assisting your team and clients in problem solving and resolution.
  • Conduct regular safety and quality audits on site with your team
  • Monitor Environmental, Health & Safety performance within the group
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, method statements, risk assessments, COSHH and EHS process
  • You will take P&L ownership of projects within your portfolio
  • Provide support and guidance to your team in developing and maintaining project programmes
  • Build a close working relationship with the sales division
  • Contribute to regular operational reviews
  • Conduct regular business reviews

   

What we look for:                                                        

Required:

  • Min. 5 Year’s Project / Operational Management experience in the construction industry, with a strong M&E background
  • Ability to manage both internal & external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficient at analysing data to make informed decisions
  • Experience working across multiple project with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities
  • Strong people skills
  • High level of commercial acumen, with responsibility of managing a P&L withing a large organisation
  • Experience of managing H&S in a construction environment
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK approx. 20% of the time

Preferable:

  • Knowledge of decarbonisation measures (e.g. installation of ASHPs, Solar PV, LED lighting and BMS Optimisation)
  • Experience working within healthcare or rail sector
  • Experienced within the Building Services industry, familiar with processes required in installing various mechanical, electrical and fabric measures
  • Willingness to learn and develop (career development opportunities available)
