Job Description​

BJC/Saint Luke's Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team.
Schedule:
Full time days:
This position follows a 7-on/7-off rotation for day shifts, consisting of a mixture of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts.
Core Responsibilities
  • Clinical Management: Design, monitor, and adjust patient-specific therapeutic regimens to achieve optimal clinical goals and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Order Verification: Interpret and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness before dispensing.
  • Consultation & Education: Provide pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic consultations and deliver expert drug information to healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Proactively communicate with prescribers regarding medication changes and document all interventions within the EMR.
  • Safety & Quality: Actively participate in reporting and managing adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and medication errors while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Leadership: Supervise supportive personnel and manage departmental projects or initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (required).
  • Licensure: Active Pharmacist licensure in both Kansas (Kansas Board of Pharmacy) and Missouri (Missouri Division of Professional Registration).
  • Certifications:
    • Medication Therapy Services (MTS) Certification (Missouri).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
