Overview:

We are looking for a Python Developer to join our engineering team and help us develop components of our software product. Responsibilities include writing and testing code, debugging programs, and integrating applications with third party web services. To be successful in this role, you should have experience using server-side logic and work well in a team. Ultimately, you'll build highly responsive applications that aligns with our business needs. Collaborate with existing team is important; receive acceptance criteria from product team, accept direction from architecture team, work closely with quality team, and deliver features for the product.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within and across teams to provide software solutions for our customers.
  • Participate in all aspects and ceremonies associated with Agile development.
  • Determine complexity level of a story in a Sprint/Development cycle.
  • Communicate with Project Managers on current project status.
  • Build scalable software through architecture discussions with the team.
  • Apply test-driven development.
  • Manage work using JIRA, including tasks, bugs, estimates, and actuals.
  • Have familiarity with continuous integration and deployment concepts..

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in CS, MIS, or a related field
  • 3+ years of information technology experience
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • 2+ years knowledge of Python, ver. 3x preferred.
  • Some knowledge of SQL (pgsql) and stored functions
  • Some knowledge of RabiitMQ/Redis, or other pkg for task workflow.
  • Experience working with a geographically dispersed team of developers.
  • Ability to present technical information to various audiences.
  • Experience building data intensive REST based applications.
