What You’ll Do:

The Senior Corporate Accountant primary responsibilities include recording and reconciling inventory, payroll, eliminations, and allocations. The successful candidate will have a positive, professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills and will be able to work as a team player. The nature of the work will require that the candidate demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and be flexible/adaptive to a fast-paced and fluid business environment. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the department and organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Prepares journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations for month-end close primarily related to; inventory, payroll, allocations, and eliminations.

  • Prepare necessary documentation and support for external audit, ensuring timely completion of audit requests.

  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures.

  • Assists with preparation of monthly financial reports.

  • Participate in special projects directed towards enhancing ERP integrity and system improvements.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in accounting processes

  • Preparation of documentation in support of periodic government reports and surveys.

  • All other tasks and responsibilities as assigned   

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree (B.A.) in Accounting from a four-year accredited college or university, and 3+ years related experience and/or training preferably in a manufacturing setting.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees of the organization.

  • Ability to type both text and figures quickly and accurately. 10 key skills (by touch).

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume.

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing Software.

Pay : $80,000-$110,000 per year
