About the department:

Operating within the abrdn Adviser business, the Adviser Marketing team is responsible for multi-channel campaigns and managing all client-facing marketing across the UK. abrdn Adviser provides financial advisers with technology platforms, expertise, and support, creating value for their businesses and clients. Adviser Marketing takes a strategic approach to communicating with advisers and is responsible for positioning the Adviser business effectively in our target market.

We work closely with stakeholders across the Adviser business to deliver programs that strengthen our brand, enhance client experiences, and achieve commercial goals.

About the role:

The Senior Digital Marketing Consultant will focus on digital marketing strategies to drive lead generation and engage financial advisers in the UK. This role will involve supporting key projects and managing digital channels, including Paid Social, Paid Search, Programmatic, Organic Social Media, and SEO. Working with our media agency, the Senior Marketing Consultant will ideate, execute, and optimize digital marketing activities, ensuring a positive return on investment and brand loyalty. They’ll work alongside the Senior Digital Marketing Manager to bring new marketing formats, processes, and ideas to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager on digital marketing projects across paid social, paid search, programmatic, and other channels.

  • Analyse campaign performance data to provide insights, takeaways, and recommendations for ongoing improvement.

  • Support customer journey enhancements with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and UX teams.

  • Contribute to organic social media strategy, testing new formats, and ensuring compliance in messaging.

  • Track marketing activity performance, analyzing data and insights to assess effectiveness.

  • Assist in rolling out attribution, segmentation, and other structural initiatives.

  • Utilise MarTech platforms, including Hootsuite, Salesforce, and Sitecore, to optimize digital marketing functions.

  • Ideate and produce engaging static and video assets for social media, paid media, and website use.

About the candidate:

  • Relevant experience in a digital marketing role

  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Analytics, SA360, DV360, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, and X Ads.

  • A creative mindset with experience in video production (agency support available).

  • Strong social media skills, ideally with experience managing social channels for a business.

  • Excellent project management abilities—organized, engaging, and deadline-focused.

  • Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.

  • Interest in new technology and ways to apply it for improved marketing efficiency.
