The major function of the position is:

Provide support to the Zeal Marketing team by assisting with the project management, planning, creation and execution of creative marketing initiatives in order to help drive Zeal Optics sales. Support and coordination of print and brand tool production with external vendors.

Act as the key liaison between Marketing and Sales to provide necessary marketing tools, maintain promotional materials and inventory, and other creative marketing requirements.

The essential responsibilities of the position are:

  • Work with Creative Manager and Marketing Director to develop strategic brand creative and marketing campaign initiatives
  • Support Creative Manager on creation, production, execution, inventory management, and implementation of marketing assets, including but not limited to, catalogs, ads, in-store POS, tech guides, training materials, packaging and retail displays.
  • Assist in the planning, forecasting, ordering and allocating of marketing materials globally
  • Coordinate with sales support teams and global DC’s to communicate shipping and allocation of product and marketing materials to global sales force and necessary counter parts. Follow through with shipments and usage by use of SAP
  • Act as project manager for creative and marketing assets. Manage project management program to build out tasks, communicate status updates, track execution and ensure that projects are completed efficiently, on time and on budget.
  • Provide support for implementing new product launches; gather all product information needed, organize and distribute to appropriate parties, ensure marketing tools are created appropriately and on time.
  • Facilitate all communication to the field Sales team regarding new product launches and procedures, new product bulletins, and other pertinent marketing and creative updates.
  • Manage process for custom marketing material requests. Coordinate with Creative Manager, Account Executives and Accounts. Communicate directly with outside vendors to manage timeline, delivery and installation.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with vendors and printers and oversee marketing material budget.
  • Own and maintain all product database files per latest guidelines. This includes but is not limited to, new product bulletins, discontinued sku list, quick reference guides, Rx program, price lists, order forms, and other dealer kit materials.
  • Code all marketing related invoices and expenses. Monitor marketing budget by comparing actual spend to budgeted. Report on and follow up with Marketing Director and President.
  • Assist Creative Manager with annual goggle strap design and color selection.
  • Assist with planning and executing semi-annual brand photoshoots. This includes taking lead on coordinating all details for the shoot, securing location, athlete accommodations, travel, schedules, shoot list and supporting any onsite needs.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of Boulder marketing materials.
  • Assist with writing and editing copy of visual materials as needed.
  • Research competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  • Work events as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Marketing role, preferably working within the sports or lifestyle industry. Experience with customer service is beneficial as well as corporate in-house marketing experience.
  • Degree in Advertising, Marketing or Communications from an accredited college is preferred.
  • Expert knowledge and ability with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, and SAP.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent administrative, clerical, record-keeping and computing skills

Desired Skills:

  • Marketing production, Market research, coordination, project management and reporting skills
  • Experience with project management platforms is a plus, particularly ClickUp
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Product inventory or product management experience is a plus
