Job Description:
THIS POSITION IS A PART-TIME POSITION WITH OUR RADIATION ONCOLOGY TEAM IN COVINGTON, LA.
Schedule: Day Shift - Monday, Thursday, and Friday.
SCOPE: Under the direction of the Clinic Manager and Navigation Manager, coordinates new patient care/requests through new patient intake and scheduling for all physicians. Facilitates the scheduling of all new patients with physician and nursing input along with patient access prior to their first appointment and works with navigation when appropriate. Handles all outgoing referrals to outside physicians when applicable.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Coordinates new patient intake and care for all physicians
2. Facilitates the scheduling of all new patients with Physician and nursing input along with patient access and SELROG physicians in accordance to acuity and need
3. Outgoing referrals management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Nursing License: Must hold a valid and unrestricted nursing license in the state of Louisiana. We welcome applications from both Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN).
- Educational Background: RNs: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) may be considered. LPNs: Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing from an accredited program. CCMAs: High school diploma or equivalent, CCMA certification.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required; oncology experience highly preferred.
