The Team:

Corporate Platforms is an enterprise-shared service enabling people, functions, and divisions. To further enable us in this mission we are recruiting for a Head of Business Management will lead strategic planning, engagement, and operational management across Corporate Platforms.


Responsibilities and Impact:

This executive role is responsible for Technology Controls Management for the Corporate Platforms group at S&P Global and reports to the CTO of Corporate Platforms.  This leader will ensure the integrity of S&P Global systems by managing our internal controls, owning and ensuring completion of MAPs, SOX controls, any audits from a technology perspective and our overall application risk posture.

This role is responsible for owning all risk control related matters for all Corporate Platforms.  This includes ensuring the integrity of our controls, working with internal or external auditors to provide evidence, maintaining all technical software related to compliance and risk for all applications under Corporate Platforms, the largest owner of SOX controls in the enterprise and partnering closely with the CP LT to report on progress and seek support.

This role is integral to the success of the technology division, requiring an individual who can navigate a highly collaborative environment with complex challenges, risk controls, and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels while also ensuring we are looking strategically at our opportunities for continuous improvement and risk posture. 

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership of MAPs assigned to our group Ownership of Audits assigned to our group Ownership of Controls and timely completion of those control checks Ownership and liaison for SOX controls with Internal and External Audit Liaison with internal audit related to scorecards Manage all stakeholder relationships related to Audit and Risk & Compliance business partners Look for process improvement and automation opportunities related to improve our security and control posture Partner with the InfoSec team for any security related improvements Own the reporting and ensure projects are aligned, updated and we close all risk posture items

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $157,941 to $275,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, executive presence, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing large technology environments and understanding large-scale and complicated technology environments.
  • Skilled in preparing executive-level presentations and managing stakeholder relations.
  • Proven experience in technology controls in similar environments
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar roles.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the technology industry, especially in financial services.
