Senior Accountant – Temporary position – Maternity cover 9-10 months 100%
Start date : ASAP
Your Missions
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be working in close collaboration with a team of 3-4 accountants, on the following missions:
Monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings for group reporting in USGAAP
Prepare and finalize annual statutory financial statements in compliance with Swiss CO
Lead limited statutory examination coordination and deliverables
Support group audit with documentation and liaison activities
Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions (general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets) with the rest of the team
Routine ledger reconciliations
Coordinate with the group’s Corporate Finance department for consolidated reporting requirements
Reconcile intercompany accounts and manage intergroup transactions in accordance with transfer pricing policies
Prepare and submit all statutory Swiss tax returns (VAT, direct federal and cantonal taxes, and related tax filings) timely and accurately
Provide guidance and support to accounting team members and collaborate with other departments on finance-related matters
Your ideal profile
Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a Swiss subsidiary of an international group
Strong knowledge of US GAAP for group financial reporting and in-depth understanding of Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) and local statutory reporting requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, professional accounting qualification preferred (Federal Diploma of Advanced Studies in Accounting and Finance)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise across departments and with externals
High attention to detail, ability to maintain deadlines, curious and analytical-minded
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills are a must, experience with Winbiz and/or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central desired
Fluency in English and French is mandatory
