Position Title: Gas Station Attendant
 Location: Grantree Conoco – Montana
 Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
 FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt
 Reports To: Store Manager or Assistant Manager

Position Summary

The Gas Station Attendant supports daily convenience store operations by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, handling inventory, and safely operating point‑of‑sale equipment. This position requires consistent physical activity, attention to detail, and adherence to company policies, safety standards, and applicable laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate the cash register and point‑of‑sale systems accurately
  • Provide courteous, professional, and timely customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness of the store, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Clean and maintain food, beverage, and dispensing equipment according to health and safety standards
  • Stock shelves, coolers, and freezers; rotate inventory as required
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing inventory deliveries
  • Remove trash and maintain exterior and interior store appearance
  • Monitor store conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing 5 to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 25-35 pounds, including lifting overhead (e.g., trash removal or stocking)
  • Ability to stand and/or walk continuously for 8 hours or more per shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and move throughout the store
  • Ability to work in cold environments, including coolers and freezers, for extended periods while stocking and organizing merchandise

Qualifications

  • No prior experience required; retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and customer‑focused environment

Schedule Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs
