The role in a nutshell

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides professional HR guidance and support to assigned internal client groups with the objective of building a highly engaged workforce and reducing risk to the business. The role is critical in cultivating our desired culture, developing and executing our people initiatives, providing great internal client support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
The primary focus of the role is regional in scope, covering multiple countries or entities, but may include working with teams and stakeholders in multiple countries on projects and initiatives that affect our global organization. 

How you will make a difference:

  • Liaising with talent acquisition team and hiring managers to ensure local teams of EMEA Region are supported and fully staffed, with clear understanding and agreements of role requirements, budgets, and priorities.
  • Providing and maintaining an effective and consistent onboarding experience that reinforces culture and maximizes productivity and retention
  • Serving as primary HR point for local EMEA teams’ leaders on the HR operational issues; escalate as needed. Providing HR administrative support to all EMEA Region location.
  • Coaching managers to motivate, appraise, goal set, performance manage, and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; conducting disciplinary investigations; and counselling employees and supervisors as needed.
  • Providing direct support to the company’s managers of EMEA Region in consistent application of the Company’s policies and procedures, requesting legal advice, expertise and support from local HR providers.
  • Assessing and contributing to human resources needs in areas such as training, workforce planning, career pathing, and employee leadership development; develop appropriate solutions. 
  • Partnering and consulting the line managers to support training initiatives with SGU when appropriate.
  • Working with local HR providers of EMEA Region and staff to ensure an accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits.
  • Ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legal requirements, maintaining compliant records, and anticipating risk areas.

What will give you an advantage:

  • Location : Iasi, Romania / Moldova
  • Fluent in verbal and written business English
  • Strong work experience in a generalist HR Generalist/Business Partner role including experience with employee relations, labour compliance, performance management, and talent acquisition
  • Strong knowledge of Romanian labour laws; aptitude to quickly learn and apply laws and practices of other countries
  • Strong customer service orientation and a great attitude
  • Strong analytical skills, and experience using and presenting data to make decisions.
  • Experience with complex HRIS systems desired.  Ability to pull reporting and metrics
  • Ability to work well across different functions, geographies, and cultures
  • Able to work both on a team and independently to deliver results
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and to navigate employees of all levels through a variety of organizational changes
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and model the highest degree of moral and ethical behavior.
