Position Overview and Objective
The Senior Security Engineer role is responsible for the implementation and operation of security technology used in the protection of Arctic Wolf. This role will work within our Information Security Engineering team to deploy and operationalize technical security capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
Implement and configure off-the-shelf security technologies in the Arctic Wolf internal environment.
Create technical approaches to implementing security control technologies.
Continually strive for improved integration between technologies to enhance capabilities from existing investments.

Contribute to a world-class security program that supports Arctic Wolf’s tremendous growth.
Key Skills
Security Architecture & Design
Experience designing and implementing foundational security controls across on‑prem and cloud (AWS experience is critical; GCP/Azure is a nice-to-have).
Working knowledge of network security concepts, including segmentation, firewall policies, and secure connectivity.
Hands‑on experience with Palo Alto SASE and endpoint security tools (EDR, anti‑malware, host hardening).
Security Tooling & Automation
Ability to automate security tasks using scripting (Python, Bash) and vendor APIs.
Experience deploying and managing off‑the‑shelf security tools (EDR, CSPM, logging/monitoring, scanning tools).
Comfortable building integrations to improve visibility and reduce manual operational work.
Vulnerability Management
Experience running vulnerability scans, improving coverage, and maintaining system inventories.
Ability to interpret findings, prioritize remediation, and partner with system owners.
Familiarity with building or supporting data pipelines for scan results and reporting.
Security Exceptions & Risk Assessment
Supports reviews of security exceptions by collecting context, assessing risk, and documenting decisions.
Collaborates with engineering and business teams to identify compensating controls.
M&A – Due Diligence & Post-Acquisition Integration
Participates in security reviews of acquired environments, focusing on core controls and risk areas.
Assists with integrating acquired systems into existing security tooling and standards.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in security or infrastructure engineering Including assessing and escalating to vendors for troubleshooting purposes.
Good experience in deploying security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, content filters, Anti-Malware, EDR, etc.
Good experience with setup and administration of Linux systems.
Some experience of software development, scripting, and API integration
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with cloud infrastructures, with Amazon Web Services (AWS) considered a strong plus.
Environment and Physical Demands
Work is primarily sedentary in nature and can be executed sitting or standing positions in an office environment.
Requires ability to utilize technology related to using a keyboard, verbal communication, and work with device screens which require visual acuity.
If located in a company office, often requires the mobility to physically navigate the space.
In the event of business travel, mobility sufficient to utilize public and private transport and navigate to essential locations.
May include moving or lifting of 25 pounds or less (e.g., office chair, reams of paper).

The base salary range for this job family is 1,567,000 to 7,252,000 INR annually. This range reflects the expected base pay for this position and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and location. In addition to base salary, Arctic Wolf offers variable incentive compensation, new hire equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
