As a Software Engineer, you will have an opportunity to work on some of these projects:

  • Providing end user with capability to configure and customize our best-in-class headsets, cameras and phones via cloud, desktop and mobile applications.
  • Integrations with Unified Communication (UC) partners to support Poly devices connected to Teams, Zoom, Jabra and many other applications.
  • USB, Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity to various poly devices.

Essential Functions

  • Architect, Design, Code, Unit Test, document and implement new & existing iOS apps.
  • Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets HP security requirements. Coding must adhere to all standards for security, be easily maintainable and have high system performance.
  • Collaborate with Development & QA staff as part of a Scrum team.
  • Comfortable working in a loosely structured, fast-paced organization.
  • Create and maintain documentation and procedures related to architecture and overall development process.
  • Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate; to ensure the quality of work delivered by self and teammates are in accordance with development standards.
  • Interact with business units to define requirements/modifications and use case to utilize in designing appropriate solutions.

Recommended Qualifications and Experience

  • Several years of work experience with university degree(s) in relevant field.
  • Experience with relevant languages, libraries, and testing tools, including Android Studio, JUnit, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, RxJava2, Coroutines, Dagger/Hilt.
  • Experience with Bluetooth and BLE.  Experience with USB is a plus.
  • Experience with APIs using GraphQL, REST, JSON and XML.
  • Experience with JIRA, GitHub, Azure and Confluence.
  • An understanding and working experience with Architectural Patterns, Design Patterns and UI/UX Design.
  • Ability to solve complex software development/design issues.
  • Ability to write clean, coherent code following established coding guidelines.
  • Good interpersonal and effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way.
  • Experience developing as part of Agile/Scrum team is preferred.
  • Passionate about delivering zero defect code that meet or exceed the proposed defect SLA and have high sense of accountability for quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Ability to deliver on multiple projects and manage priorities based on changing directions.
  • Driven, resourceful and results oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity.
