Job Description

As a  Web Software Engineer IV / Senior Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing distributed, multi-tier software applications across our enterprise platform. Your expertise in web application integration, data exchange protocols, and technical ownership will drive successful project outcomes. Here are the key responsibilities and requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment.
  • Environment Setup: Configure development environments and document release notes, technical details, functionality, and configurations.
  • Technology Stack: Leverage your knowledge of J2EE (Java, JSP, JDBC, and frameworks), UI/UX technologies, JavaScript frameworks, Web Services (REST, SOAP), and containerization (Docker, OpenShift).
  • DevOps Practices: Familiarity with DevOps practices and other relevant technologies.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Front-End Technologies:
      • HTML/CSS: Deep understanding of semantic HTML and modern CSS (including preprocessors like SASS or LESS). Post processors like Tailwind. 
      • JavaScript: Strong knowledge of vanilla JavaScript and frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
      • Responsive Design: Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
    • UI/UX Design Principles:
      • User-Centered Design: Ability to create user-friendly interfaces with a focus on user experience.
      • Prototyping and Wireframing: Proficiency in tools like Sketch, SCSS, Figma, or Adobe XD.
    • Version Control Systems:
      • Git: Experience with version control systems like Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
    • Performance Optimization:
      • Web Performance: Knowledge of optimizing web applications for speed and scalability.

  • Communication and Project Management:
    • Articulate both marketing and IT needs to various stakeholders.
    • Collaborate effectively with team members and business users.
    • Excellent project management, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, or mathematics.
    • Minimum of 10 years of technical, analytical, systems, and programming experience.
    • Master’s degree and 2 years of lead experience preferred.

**This position will be a hybrid position based in Memphis, Tennessee at our National Executive Office**
