Role Description

  • To grow as a strong mechanical engineer to be able to qualify HVAC products.
  • To be able to handle projects independently and provide value additions.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands on experience in finite element analysis and classical strength of materials.
  • A clear competency in stress and fatigue analysis, modal analysis, machine design, kinematics, and mechanics of materials.
  • The candidate will be expected to perform FEA structural analysis using MSC/ANSYS where the entire process must be covered, i.e. from data/information acquisition, CAD data pre-processing, model build, to the analysis and final presentation.

  • Familiarity with nCode design life fatigue analysis will be a plus.

  • The candidate is expected to learn and perform linear, non linear, linear dynamic analysis like modal harmonic and random vibration analysis for mechanical and HVAC systems.

  • Ensure that product design and performance meets technical and functional requirements.
  • Based on the analysis performed, suggest design changes to meet the functional requirements.
  • Testing / Simulation coordination: conduct correlation studies between FEA and lab testing for improvement and verification of FEA models.
  • Participate in product tear downs and workshops for product understanding.
  • Work on ideas generated through benchmarking and tear downs.

Basic Qualifications & Experience:

  • A strong background in dynamic analysis including vibration, fatigue and Numerical Methods
  • MTech in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in vibration and dynamics or equivalent with at least 7.5 CGPA.
  • Hands on experience in CAD and CAE tools.
  • Understand basic air-conditioning system and vapor compression cycle, its application in different product lines.
  • Understand the different qualification standards for HVAC products.
