In this interesting, client-facing role, you'll be part of a close-knit team responsible for the close management of the risks associated with a dynamic portfolio of selected clients in the Structured Finance portfolio.

You’ll be a key member of our Portfolio Management Structured Finance team who support the monitoring and reviewing of Structured Finance customers within Corporate and Commercial Banking. You’ll have the opportunity to improve your knowledge and skill base within a structured finance environment, whilst maintaining client responsibility.

If you’ve performed a similar role previously, this could be the perfect opportunity to develop your career.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Managing a dynamic, complex and high-risk portfolio of structured finance originated/executed transactions
  • Monitoring any adverse trends emerging across your portfolio, ensuring a full understanding of any risks is maintained
  • Providing a high level of service to identified and dynamic growth clients who are active in the structured finance arena across wide ranging sectors
  • Progressing client requests via the preparation of credit submissions or modification papers and presenting to Credit Committees
  • Delivering credit risk control and reporting, as well as analysing and monitoring management information, covenant compliance and sector information
  • Working with origination teams to support existing clients with new lending requests

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Deep technical knowledge and experience of operating in the UK mid-market Leveraged Finance market in either an origination or portfolio management capacity
  • Well-developed credit and relationship skills with the ability to undertake financial modelling and sensitivity analysis
  • Excellent, demonstrable, stakeholder managment skills

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Excellent credit writing skills with the ability to present a fair and balanced view of the client risk
  • Experience of managing and negotiating legal processes and documentation with lawyers
  • High quality financial analysis, presentational, verbal, and written skills
  • Experience lending to leveraged companies, including understanding of the in-depth financial analysis required for such deals

What else you need to know:

Our preferred location for this role is Birmingham, but we’ll also consider locating the role in Milton Keynes.

We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

If you apply for this role, it’s important you consider your travelling distance, time and cost from your home to the office location.

We’re happy to discuss specific working patterns and arrangement within this hybrid approach during the recruitment process.

If you’re interested in this role but with part time hours or a job-share we would still love to hear from you and discuss these.
