Role Summary

The Embedded Innovation Team of Pfizer’s global Center for Digital Innovation (CDI) leads strategic collaborations with the local ecosystem of academia, research centers and startups to co-develop innovative solutions with a global scope and utterly achieve our purpose: breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. The team designs and executes the Embedded Innovation strategy of CDI, including cross-functional projects and initiatives. We build and manage innovation projects and processes that provide solutions to global Pfizer challenges across the entire value chain, from drug discovery to manufacturing, supply chain and patient support.

The Embedded Innovation Project Manager plays a key role in meeting the team’s mission. You will work in areas of cutting-edge technologies and your role will be to manage project initiation and implementation throughout the innovation lifecycle: from ideation and incubation to deployment. You will interact with internal and external, local and global stakeholders, organize, monitor and manage project-specific information and tasks, to ensure the highest quality of outcomes according to timelines. You will be a trusted point of contact of Pfizer CDI with global Pfizer and external ecosystem.

Main responsibilities

  • Monitor project progress in terms of deliverables and milestones

  • Review and guide project deliverables, ensuring high quality and alignment with company requirements and strategy

  • Interact with and engage internal and external stakeholders into the projects

  • Actively participate in, and provide leadership, during meetings with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.

  • Create and maintain project tracking and communication material, including KPIs

  • Plan, prioritize and manage project tasks

  • Execute all projects in compliance with company development guidelines

  • Participate in new project ideation and evaluation of project ideas and proposals

  • Participate in the design of innovation strategies and processes

  • Organize innovation events (e.g. conferences, meetups, workshops, presentations, competitions, etc.)

  • Deliver project presentations for internal and external audience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or higher degree in STEM, Health or Business Administration

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in R&D, innovation or health technology projects

  • Proven experience managing projects in an Agile environment

  • Experience in Software Engineering and Design Architecture is a plus

  • Familiarity with new technologies and willingness to stay up-to-date with latest developments

  • People skills, including leadership, management, and collaboration

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to speak in public and present in front of stakeholders

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore the best possible solution

  • Ability to work across multiple concurrent activities and successfully adapt to changing priorities as required

  • Excellent MS Office skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Business and innovation mindset

  • Relevant certifications such as PMI, Scrum, ISTQB is a plus
