PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER (OEM), STARLINK

Starlink, our revolutionary satellite constellation, is delivering low-latency broadband internet around the world. The Starlink Account Management team serves as the point of contact for Starlink’s growing base of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) customers from contract signature, through successful activation and integration, ensuring all contract terms are fulfilled.

In this role you will work with leadership to achieve partnership and sales goals while collaborating with stakeholders across engineering, business, and regulatory teams. The partnerships manager demands a strong analytical skill set to drive customer adoption, propose new business models, and forecast accurate deployment timelines. Success will require systems thinking, creativity, and excellent communication skills to synthesize information that shapes the strategic direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all aspects of successfully closing partnership deals between SpaceX and partners
  • Lead domestic and international partnerships, including leading technical, and product/pricing/business discussions and negotiations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the assigned Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Accounts and own the interface from contract signature onwards (onboarding, ongoing account management, and long-term retention/growth of the relationship and revenue) with emphasis on:
    • Delivering impeccable customer service, including efficient acknowledgement and resolution of issues
    • Building relationships to identify requirements and managing expectations
    • Collecting, communicating, and championing customer feedback internally to influence and steer programmatic and technical development required to maintain and grow business and value of accounts
    • Ownership of forecast and revenue growth within assigned accounts and vertical
  • As an extreme owner of assigned accounts, identify and successfully communicate readiness levels, requirements, schedules, and risks to realize forecasted revenue on or ahead of schedule
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups (engineering, regulatory, business, etc.)
  • Assist with development of commercial, marketing, and business terms and materials, while staying up to date with internal technology, regulatory, and business teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field (engineering, physics, math, computer science, or information technology); OR high school diploma/equivalency and 7+ years of professional experience in a partnership, business development, sales engineering, or account management in lieu of a degree
  • 5 + years of experience in a customer facing role supporting engineering projects

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Significant knowledge and experience working in OEM sales channels supporting and integrating complex products into their platforms or product lines (aviation, automotive, maritime, agriculture, etc.)
  • Ability to manage execution of significant or complex contracts including initial onboarding, renegotiation of terms, schedules and the on-going relationship 
  • Demonstrated experience in researching, writing and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Experience working with the FAA or other aerospace or industry regulatory bodies to implement complex technical projects or solutions
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects and delivering under tight deadlines and resource constraints
  • Ability to synthesize multiple unique requirements and suggest smart solutions, products, or features
  • Track record of demonstrating sound business judgement, evaluating alternatives, and making recommendations that were adopted and ultimately successful
  • Significant technical knowledge of Starlink or telecommunications in at least one key area: satellites, ground network, user terminals, or related technology
  • Experience building long-term and successful customer relationships demonstrating empathy, active listening, and resiliency skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to craft and present professional presentations at all levels

ADDITIONAL REQUIRMENTS:

  • Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to support critical milestones or operations shifts
  • Must be willing to travel to other SpaceX offices, vendors, and customers as necessary (up to 50% travel)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:  

Pay Range:    

Partnerships Manager (OEM): $110,000.00 - $150,000.00/per year  

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
