Niantic's Emerging Markets team is seeking an Indonesia Manager to work alongside Niantic's Emerging Market Head responsible for acquisition/management of partner relationships, performance management and engaging local Pokémon GO communities. This role requires a candidate who learns fast, hustles to implement, collaborates well with various functional teams and is passionate about our games. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, takes initiative, and loves our mission of encouraging outdoor exploration. This role is a contractor position.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management – planning and execution of synergistic events/activations with the largest partner companies in the country (i.e.: Community Days, gaming events). Plan and work with marketing, product, and cross-functional teams to identify potential activation & event opportunities.
  • Business Development - Identification of potential partners (i.e.: mobile network operators, convenience stores, city governments, etc.) to create collaborative events.
  • Marketing Strategy- Assist in the end-to-end planning of market entry strategies, marketing campaigns for Pokémon GO and other Niantic games.
  • POI database identification - Ability to secure POI databases that enable local points of interest in our games and work cross-functionally to ingest them.

Qualifications

  • Business level communication in English, Bahasa Indonesia and/or other regional languages.
  • 4+ years of experience in the tech or gaming industry in Indonesia.
  • Experience in partnerships/collaborations, project management, and talent management.
  • Strategic problem solver with strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
  • Strong written communications and editorial skills.
  • Able to make critical decisions under time constraints and a full workload.
  • Able to work long hours and weekends when needed.
  • Able to travel, including domestically and internationally.
  • Capability to develop positive relationships and work collaboratively to tackle problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent), or equivalent practical experience.
  • Passion for Niantic games!

This is a contractor position and the work should be performed based on service agreement and SOW. Niantic will not offer Contractor direct employment contract, salary, benefits, equities, or any compensation associated with employment.
