IT Business Analyst (Quality and Regulatory Affairs) (Alajuela, Costa Rica)

Are you interested in making a global impact? As an IT Business Analyst for Quality and Regulatory Affairs based in Coyol, Alajuela, Costa Rica, you will connect people, processes and technology so that our life changing products reach patients safely, compliantly and efficiently across the globe.

What will you be doing?

  • Acting as the primary IT business analyst partner for our Quality and Regulatory Affairs teams, translating their needs into effective digital solutions that support global compliance and product quality.

  • Leading the elicitation, analysis and documentation of clear, testable business requirements, working closely with functional leaders, product owners, end users and IT colleagues.

  • Assessing current business and systems processes, identifying improvement opportunities and preparing business cases that define benefits, options, risks and impacts.

  • Driving reuse of existing solution capabilities wherever possible and recommending new technologies where they add clear value and align with the enterprise roadmap.

  • Creating high quality functional specifications and use cases, coordinating walkthroughs and sign offs to ensure solutions accurately address business objectives.

  • Designing and managing testing of new and updated processes, defining realistic business scenarios, coordinating execution and ensuring results and issues are clearly documented and shared.

  • Working on multiple initiatives in parallel, collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure solutions are standardised, scalable and aligned across the enterprise.

  • Investigating and troubleshooting the root cause of business and technical issues, partnering with stakeholders to define and implement sustainable corrective actions.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field.

  • Solid experience as a business analyst, with a minimum of 5 to 7 years in relevant technical or business roles and at least 3 years in Information Technology, ideally within Quality or Regulatory environments.

  • Proven strength in business process design and re engineering, including the ability to select and apply both predictive and agile analysis methods, tools and techniques.

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation and influencing skills, with a track record of building strong relationships and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels in a global, multicultural environment.

  • Confidence in defining scope and priorities, managing requirements throughout the lifecycle and ensuring that delivered solutions measurably improve process capability and performance.

  • Certification in Business Analysis preferred.

  • Travel: 10-25%
