  • Provide leadership in coordination of all components of the general ledger. Ensures data integrity, completeness, accuracy, timeliness and consistency of financial 

  • information, general ledger close reporting, and statutory reports. 

  • Responsible for end to end service delivery for assigned processes. 

  • Understand Service Level Agreements (SLA) requirements and drive team to consistently achieve and surpass expectations. 

  • Promotes and supports the continuous improvement processes and the development of better tools to strengthen 

  • general ledger operations including global initiatives. 

  • Serves as point of contact for escalation of issues within assigned process, addressing or escalating further as determined. 

  • Performs monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations ensuring any reconciling items are addressed timely. 

  • Maintains and executes adequate internal controls of general ledger processes. 

  • Ensures that information complies with professional and regulatory standards and that data supports budgeting and forecasting requirements. Provide solutions to control issues. 

  • Ensure that all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations. 

  • Ensure monthly close deadlines are met. 

  • Communicates goals and objectives, applies company policy, staffs, trains, coaches, recommends salary increases, ensures positive colleague relations and reviews the performance of colleagues. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

Education And Experience 
 

  • Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 6-8 years of experience, including 1-2 years of supervisory experience. May require a CPA certification. 

  • Expecience with shared services setup. 

  • Experience with ERP implementation projects and continuous improvement initiatives preferred 

Knowledge And Skills 
 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 

  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS). 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills. 

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. 

  • Open to change and adoption of new technologies, including AI 

  • Demonstrates resilience and adaptability
