The Senior IT Product Manager partnering with Quality Assurance department will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of IT products that support quality assurance processes within the pharmaceutical industry. This role requires a deep understanding of both IT product management and quality assurance standards specific to the pharma sector. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that IT solutions meet regulatory requirements, enhance product quality, and drive operational efficiency.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Roadmap:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for IT solutions supporting Quality Assurance (QA) functions.
  • Align product strategies with regulatory requirements, industry trends, and organizational goals.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with QA leaders, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment on product objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between IT teams and the Quality Assurance department.

Product Development:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation through to deployment and support.
  • Work closely with software development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all IT products comply with relevant regulatory standards, such as FDA, GxP, and other global regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to regular audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance.


Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute validation plans.
     

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors providing IT solutions or services related to quality assurance.
  • Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor product performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product functionality and user experience.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the budget for IT products within the Quality Assurance department.
  • Ensure cost-effective use of resources and adherence to budgetary constraints.


​Basic qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT product management, with at least 3-5 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or Product Management certifications are a plus.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of IT product management, software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in tools and technologies commonly used in product management (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, product analytics tools).
  • Experience with SAP technology, microsoft Azure or Mendix is a plus

Quality Assurance Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, GxP).
  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance processes within the pharma industry.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills to understand complex problems and derive a way forward, assess product performance and identify areas for improvement.

Project Management:

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects within the pharma industry.

Business Acumen:

  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical business environment and the impact of quality on business outcomes.
  • Ability to align IT product strategies with business objectives.

Customer Focus:

  • Commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to gather and prioritize customer requirements.
