Director – Healthcare – Valuations & Risk Advisory France

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director to oversee the delivery of valuation services to our healthcare clients in France, and providing further support across the EMEA region. This senior role is pivotal in managing 1 or 2 sector specialists, ensuring client satisfaction, driving operational excellence, and including design and execution of a sector growth strategy, building relationships and eminence across the region, and managing delivery quality for sector clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of valuation processes, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance service delivery.

This position will work closely with the EMEA Healthcare Leadership to execute the sector growth strategy, ensuring delivery quality for our clients. There will also be strategic alignment with the wider EMEA Healthcare teams as well as the Capital Markets Healthcare teams.

The Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of valuation professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Take ownership for team performance in France and progress towards automation, data capture and standardization, and location optimization of work whilst maintaining quality.

• Valuation: Producing valuations reports and market analysis in Care Homes, Hospitals, specialized Clinics and Seniors Housing, including on-site inspections across France.

• Workload and Capacity Management: Oversee workload distribution and capacity planning within the team to ensure resources are effectively utilized and project deadlines are met.

• Service Delivery Excellence: Ensure the delivery of high-quality valuation services to healthcare clients, adhering to agreed service delivery KPIs and maintaining client satisfaction.

• Client Relationship Management: Serve as the point of contact for key healthcare clients, building strong relationships, understanding their needs, and proactively addressing any concerns. Influence clients and teams to adopt centralised DCF methodology, as and when appropriate, with appropriate rationale.

• Technology and Innovation: Embrace and implement technology solutions, including AI, to optimize valuation processes and improve the efficiency and accuracy of service delivery.

• Business Development Support: Support business development efforts by contributing to RFPs, attending client meetings, and identifying opportunities for expanding our service offerings.

• Cross-border Support: Based on the business needs will work in close collaboration with the wider EMEA Healthcare teams to ensure delivery of mandates is executed in a consistent and efficient way. 

Growth: Develop and execute regional growth strategy for the Healthcare Sector, prioritizing client service and delivery resources to strategic national, regional and global clients to achieve year-over-year revenue growth. Work with JLL's other business lines to build relationships, harness market data to disseminate to your team and identify and capture cross-selling opportunities. Streamline the business by evaluating and reducing small, one-off engagements below a specified threshold.

The Requirements

• An experienced professional with a background in valuations in France. Healthcare or Operational Real Estate experience is preferred, but not essential.

• Ideally, a RICS qualified registered valuer with approximately 10 + years of experience.

• Experience navigating a complex matrixed organization.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals.

• Highly skilled in project management.

• Collegial and team oriented.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure and tight timelines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate key client and stakeholder management.

• Solid understanding of modelling, valuation methodologies, and regulatory requirements related to valuation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide clear and concise recommendations.

• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Argus systems, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.

• Desirable: Experience in Salesforce/Capforce, data analytics, and/or BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
