Job Summary:

The Senior Analyst Business Controlling – IT position is part of the Functional Cost Analyses team, focused on supporting the IT function and related data analytics. Collaborating closely with the Group IT function, the role is responsible for providing strategic business analysis, supports action-oriented reporting, and provides capacity to the Chief Information Officer for conducting in-depth analyses as required on IT related data. This role involves project execution, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and offering decision-making support and business insights. The role includes a mix of recurring general reporting tasks and finding answers to new questions or develop solutions for evolving challenges in the sphere of IT reporting. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly management reporting including MBRs and ad-hoc reporting
  • Manage budget planning, forecasting, long term Business Plan and capital expenditures
  • Responsible for overall IT performance monitoring and reporting, providing strong support to the CIO to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Provision of monthly reporting to IT Cost Center owners, including variance to budget identifying driver of variances and FY impact
  • Provide financial support for new IT proposals and projects as required and support new business ventures where appropriate
  • Review IT demand pipeline and provide financial approval for individual requests
  • Support IT monthly reporting process including month-end accruals and reporting production, analyzing IT variances towards group reporting
  • Calculation and alignment with the respective platform owners of the application TCO as input to the annual ICT recharge calculation process
  • Co-ordination of ICT recharge process, aligning with both IT and regional finance colleagues
  • Manage the IT 13-week cash-out plan process, ensuring effective prioritization of the IT Invoices for the weekly payment run
  • Ensure internal processes and policies are followed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is an advantage.

Work Experience:

  • 4-7 years’ experience in financial controlling, planning, and reporting, ideally in a large multinational business environment
  • Experience in labor heavy environments such as manufacturing, food service, supply chain management, staffing agency, airline and/or airline catering experience preferred.

Technical / Language Skills:

  • Expertise in financial planning & analysis. Sound understanding of accounting, tax and treasury preferred.
  • Outstanding practical knowledge of Microsoft-Office programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Management Systems; SAP, Hyperion, Microsoft Power BI and VBA/Macro programming would be a plus.

  • Able to deliver under pressure in a complex environment possessing strong stakeholder engagement capabilities to build trust, manage expectations and foster buy-in
  • Able to fluently interact in English (German, French, Spanish and other languages are a plus)
  • The ability to interact with people of various seniority level and cultural background.
