Job Summary/Purpose

The purpose of the Milling & Extrusion Operative is to mill and extrude material for Perlast and PPE using the correct method as set forth in the job card in a safe and productive manner.

Essential Duties

  • Follow all instructions on the Job Card required for milling and extruding materials, ensuring correct process is used for optimum results
  • Responsible for working within the set quality standards to make sure only good quality products are passed along to the next stage of manufacturing
  • Measure product thoroughly and add to material following the standard work instructions
  • Measure and cut product to appropriate length to ensure maximum efficiency and quality of product
  • Responsible for following safety guidelines and reporting any and all near misses, incidents, and accidents to the appropriate personnel
  • Ensure that work area is properly clean at all times especially at the end of the shift
  • Throughout the shift work will be recorded into the system in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Bring any issues or “stops” to production to your cell leader or appropriate personnel

Working Environment

  • This position is stationed in the clean room, requiring the operator to wear appropriate protective gear (suit, ear plugs, safety glasses, shoe covers, hair net, beard covers, etc.)

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing majority of the shift

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 months prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience running machinery
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Must understand basic manufacturing math
  • Must possess effective communication skills

Schedule:

This position will be on our A Shift, which is Monday - Thurs 6:30am - 5:00pm
