About the Role

Project Graph is Adobe’s next-generation creative system that empowers designers to combine first- and third-party AI models, Adobe tools, and custom interactive components inside a visual, designer-friendly node graph editor. As a Staff Designer, you will shape the user experience of this groundbreaking platform while bringing clarity, creativity, and usability to complex workflows that span AI, modular tools, and extensible ecosystems.

You will lead design strategy for core Graph experiences, ensuring they are intuitive, scalable, and delightful for a diverse audience of creators and developers. This is a high impact role where you’ll collaborate across design, engineering, and product teams to define patterns, frameworks, and interaction models that set the standard for the future of creative tooling.

What You’ll Do

  • Design Leadership: Own end-to-end design for key Graph workflows, from concept to polished execution, ensuring consistency and usability across the platform.
  • Systems Thinking: Develop scalable design systems and interaction patterns for node-based editing, extensibility, and AI-driven workflows.
  • Innovation & Impact: Translate complex technical capabilities into approachable, elegant experiences that empower creators without sacrificing power or flexibility.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering and product leadership to align design vision with technical strategy and roadmap.
  • Mentorship: Guide and inspire other designers, fostering a culture of craft, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
  • Advocacy: Champion user-centered design principles and accessibility standards across the Graph ecosystem.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: 8+ years in product design, with at least 3 years at a senior or staff level designing complex, technical or creative tools.
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of interaction design, visual design, and design systems; experience with modular workflows and extensible platforms is a plus.
  • Technical Fluency: Comfort collaborating with engineers on technical constraints and opportunities; familiarity with AI-driven or node-based tools is highly desirable.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to influence strategy, drive alignment, and deliver high-quality outcomes in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Communication: Exceptional storytelling and facilitation skills to articulate design decisions and inspire stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience designing for creative professionals or developer-facing tools.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, plugin ecosystems, or graph-based interfaces.
  • Strong prototyping skills using modern tools and frameworks.

How to Apply

To be considered for this role, please submit your resume and portfolio. We’d especially like to see strong systems thinking, elegant design solutions, how you collaborate across teams—including engineering & product—and a proven ability to adapt your designs based on what you learn.
