Lead Mechanical Construction Engineer

(Piping, Pipeline & Plant Fire Water Systems – EPC / PMC)

Job Purpose
Lead and manage mechanical construction activities related to piping, pipelines, and plant fire water systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely execution in accordance with Local Saudi Arabia standards, project specifications, and approved drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead construction of process piping, cross‑country pipelines, and fire water networks (aboveground & underground).
  • Act as the primary mechanical interface with EPC contractors, PMC, client, vendors, and commissioning teams.
  • Ensure compliance with SAES, SAMSS, SABIC Engineering Standards, ASME, API, NFPA, and international codes.
  • Review and approve method statements, ITPs, work packs, and technical queries.
  • Enforce HSE requirements, PTW, lifting operations, and construction safety standards.
  • Monitor construction progress, manpower, materials, and resolve site issues.
  • Support hydrotesting, flushing, reinstatement, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning up to handover.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 15+ years mechanical construction experience, including Lead role on Saudi Saudi Arabai projects.
  • Strong EPC/PMC experience in oil & gas or petrochemical plants.
