Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems has an opening for a Project Manager/Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role is located in Edwards, CA.

Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. This is an individual contributor role that can be filled at either level.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate with technical leadership in a cross functional team to meet program cost, schedule, and technical objectives

• Develop and deliver presentations to management, and other program stakeholders

• Define, plan, perform, monitor, control, and complete a variety of project tasks simultaneously

• Track budget actuals against predictions and financial performance against the full EV performance management baseline

• Participate in CAM status calls, prepare status for/attend weekly status meeting, support stakeholder meetings, review Actual Hours reports for time charging accuracy

• Coordinate Earned Value Change Requests (EVCRs) with the business management and Scheduling team as needed

• Support logistics team, generate staffing requirements, documentation, and forecasts

• Review labor resources and cost actuals on a weekly basis, and acting on any discrepancies

• Support development of packages for Proposal and Change Requests for cost and schedule

• Adhere to all internal processes for Program Management

• Perform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks

Basic Qualifications for Project Manager:

• 2 years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree OR 0 years of relevant experience with master’s degree. An additional 2 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the business.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

• Knowledge of Control Account Management and Earned Value Management methodologies.

• Knowledge of contracts executing full Earned Value Management

• Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and/or Power Point.

• Knowledge of Risk Management, Return to Green (RTG) plans, and/or cross functional scheduling.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Manager:

• 5 years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree OR 3 years of relevant experience with master’s degree OR 1 year of relevant experience with Ph.D. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the business.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
