Role and Scope of Position:

Provides financial support to the Operations organization by performing various FP&A functions, including analysis, reporting, and communication of financial results.  Produce detailed monthly analysis of budget versus actual spending and year-end forecast.

Essential Functions: 

  • Perform various FP&A functions, including analysis, reporting, and communication of monthly financial results

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of financial projections and identify areas of concern

  • Prepare and support actual versus budget and projection analyses for expense line items and capital projects

  • Provide documentation for regulatory filings as needed

  • Provide and support various ad-hoc financial analyses

  • Review, analyze and assess budget financials and identify anomalies and discrepancies

  • Assist with developing data management, analytics and reporting solutions using IBM Planning Analytics, Board, PowerPlan and Maximo systems

  • Working with senior members of the team, assisting in data extraction, organization and analysis

  • Assist with system security management and reconciliation processes

·    Knowledge of financial analyses and financial model management concepts

·    Understanding of financial statements

Skills:

·   Understanding of financial concepts

·   Strong communication both oral and written

·    Strong detail orientation as well as the ability to be thorough and precise

·    Work well within a team structure

·   Strong customer focus

·    Functional understanding of computerized business systems

·    Strong technical skills, including MS Office applications. Experience with PowerPlan, Planning Analytics (TM1) and Power Business Intelligence preferred.

·    Ability to multi-task and shift among multiple priorities simultaneously

Education/Experiences:      Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a closely-related discipline required.
