Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
Synchrony is continuing to build world class loyalty solutions – those that drive engagement with our cardholders. Our Synchrony Rewards System (SRS) Team brings these products to life through all stages and touchpoints of the customer lifecycle. Within SRS, our Loyalty Senior Product Owner will be responsible to lead the implementation of new features & enhancements across SRS and integration points with our digital, workstation, data warehouse and client teams. We are seeking an agile trained Product Owner that has experience with both batch and API teams, as well as a strong background in consulting and solution design.

Essential Responsibilities:
Identify business needs and translate to business rules/stories
Lead/direct decisions by providing technical consultation and direction to stakeholders
Work closely with SRS application leader and Scrum Master to ensure technical implementation meets the business requirements and business rules
Become an SME in some of our backend systems we connect to & build services for – Vista, Fiserv Loyalty Platforms (PLP & TLR)
Ensure strong communication and coordination across Synchrony systems and platforms that integrate loyalty solutions
Provide oversight and leadership of the wing-to-wing product development lifecycle including build, test, launch, and adoption
Work with the SRS Agile Development Team & Scrum Master, lead backlog planning and grooming, and support Release planning
Coordinate and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and end-to-end testing for releases
Partner with key stakeholders such as Marketing, IT, Compliance, Credit/Risk and Operations to identify and prioritize future features to deliver to market and to ultimately manage the product backlog
Responsible for all “run the engine” functions for the site, such as triaging and managing defects, employee education, user inquiries, SLA issues, etc.
Partner with Production Ops team to closely monitor and understand usage patterns online and utilize tools such as Omniture, GA, and Splunk
Keep all product documentation up to date
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of IT experience or equivalent leadership program experience, or in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years of IT experience, experience in developing and implementing information systems and project management experience
5+ years of experience with loyalty technology and solutions
Experience with Agile (work or preferably, trained) and/or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) in a Product Owner role

Experience in leading large cross-functional virtual project teams
Experience with API teams, Astra and Apigee
Technical acumen & experience to lead our team through simple solutions
Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
