Job Description

Responsibilities • Manages legal business matters pertaining to the organization. • Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. • Interfaces and communicates effectively with the parent company’s legal department in Japan on a frequent basis. • Collaborates with Company’s U.S. legal entities, business units, and functional departments to draft, review, and negotiate commercial, technology and administrative contracts, including sales, service, procurement and other transactional agreements. • Develops and provides learning activities for TEL US employees focusing on creating awareness and minimizing legal exposure. • Advocates for the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and Corporate policies and assures conformity when contracts, agreements, etc. are reviewed and negotiated.  Typical Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of related experience; or Master's Degree without experience; or Associate's Degree with 6 years of related experience; or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree. High school diploma or equivalent required. Physical Demands and Work Conditions The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
