Manager – Creative Services
Reports To: Director of Marketing & Communications
Classification: Salaried, Exempt
Compensation: Annual Salary of $80,000.00
Position Summary:
The Manager of Creative Services will play a pivotal role within our Marketing and Communications department, combining the creative skill set of a Graphic Designer/Art Director with the strategic acumen required to drive impactful marketing campaigns. This individual will lead creative design, manage brand integrity, and collaborate closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and external agency partners to deliver high-quality projects on time and within scope. Additionally, this role involves overseeing, implementing, and managing assigned projects set by the Marketing Director, while providing support through various responsibilities across the portfolio of entities overseen by the marketing department.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
Creative & Design
- Creative Leadership: Oversee and direct the creative process for B2B / B2C projects, including graphic design, art direction, and concept development, ensuring all outputs align with brand standards and marketing objectives. Serve as the brand steward, ensuring corporate brand standards are consistently implemented across all mediums.
- Design & Production: Understand specs and production process to design, layout and deliver digital and print projects such as brochures, publications, websites, ads, newsletters, social media graphics, corporate and sales collateral, among other marketing materials. Concept, script and oversee the production of video projects including light editing as needed. Manage photography shoots, search and acquire images, videos and creative elements as needed for designs.
- Content Development: Brainstorm and develop original creative concepts that strengthen the company image. Approve and/or develop compelling content across channels (posts, videos, blogs, PR) in collaboration with the marketing team and agency partners. Provide copy writing, proof reading and editing of marketing materials.
- Brand Management: Maintain and enforce brand integrity across all creative outputs. Ensure all communications are consistent with the company’s brand voice and visual identity. Act as an in-house agency and lead brand excellence through the execution of superior assets across all departments.
- Innovation & Growth: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and competition, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve the creative process.
Project Management & Production
- Project Management: Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Oversee and coordinate weekly project status meetings.
- Vendor & Asset Management: Provide oversight and guidance while leading collaborations with advertising agencies, production vendors, and other partners to deliver projects. Manage digital assets, including photo/video licensing and organization through digital asset management (DAM) software.
- Content & Campaign Management: Oversee updates and maintenance of websites, ensuring a seamless user experience. Develop and execute targeted email marketing campaigns, understanding list segmentation and A/B testing to optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Production Coordination: Work with vendors to brief projects, manage budgets, and production timelines, ensuring on-time delivery of assets. Source new vendors for corporate swag, giveaway items and sales tools.
Events, Activations, Promotions
- Event Production: Oversee event production, ensuring all advertising, signage, and promotions are in place and executed. Work on-site to manage event logistics and troubleshoot issues.
- Event Support: Manage and execute event day marketing as needed (e.g. social media, registration, talent wrangling). Handle event day marketing responsibilities, coordinating the set up and execution of media events and ensuring content is accurately displayed on all platforms. Upload and post press announcements as needed.
Marketing, Media, Advertising
- Strategic Thinking & Collaboration: Understand our various target audiences and strategies/tactics to reach them. Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute creative strategies aligned with overall business goals. Utilize research to inform and optimize creative decisions and analytics tools to gather data on campaign performance, optimizing media campaigns for maximum reach and impact.
- Social Media & Digital Content: Support social media efforts, research and tag appropriate channels, and update digital content across platforms as needed. Manage blog and email content approvals, assist with ideation of editorial content and calendars.
- Advertising Production: Manage the production of all paid, owned and partner advertising, including traditional and non-traditional advertising. In collaboration with the Director of Marketing, provide integrated and strategic innovative ideas for design solutions aligned with marketing objectives.
Reporting & Analysis
- Meetings & Recaps: Produce quarterly presentations on the value of marketing initiatives, highlighting creative efforts and ROI. Plan and execute the Annual Report, providing current updates and future vision.
- Reporting & Analytics: Pull research data/analytics for meetings and collaborate in the development of ongoing reports and presentations, offering insights on best-performing efforts and recommendations for improvement.

Adheres to and supports company policies and decisions in a positive manner. Cooperates with personnel in other departments to ensure the best overall experience and top of mind awareness of our guests, clients, partners, sponsors, and local government officials.
As with all positions, other jobs or special projects may arise outside the realm of this job description. Doing other assignments on a fill-in basis is expected of every employee. You may be asked to attend meetings with potential clients, city officials, or assist in organizing special events/promotions.

Qualifications & Certifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 6-10 years of experience in a creative role, preferably within an advertising agency or similar environment, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in graphic design, art direction, and concept development.
- Knowledge should include advertising, digital marketing, social media, website development/ management, email marketing, and production (print, OOH, digital, video).
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with analytics tools to measure and optimize campaign performance.
- Industry-related experience preferred (travel/tourism, sports/entertainment, radio/television, advertising agency).
- Valid U.S. Driver License
Knowledge / Abilities / Skills:
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite design software and Microsoft Office required. Familiarity with marketing tools such as Canva, Hootsuite, Sprout, etc. preferred.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and the ability to integrate creative concepts with marketing strategies.
- Team player with a collaborative approach, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and cultivate relationships with stakeholders and constituents.
- Strong ability to lead, develop and streamline processes. Detail-oriented with a passion for excellence, proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines while using strategic, critical thinking and problem solving.
- Knowledge of data-driven marketing and the ability to apply insights to creative work is a plus.
- Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively and communicate effectively with a diverse range of audiences. Including the development of compelling written, oral, and visual media presentation materials.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self-starter that can work under limited supervision.
- Experience with professional photography equipment, and photographing live events is preferred, not required.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the complex; travel between the different offices/venues/events we oversee; stand for long hours during the events; talk and hear. Extended keyboard and computer usage is also required. Heavy phone usage, some stooping, bending, and lifting may be required. This position may require work inside or outside of the building as needed for production or events.
